During the pandemic we realized ourselves more and more under how much pressure rescue workers must execute their work. Something we can be extremely grateful for. And this is also the group that has been increasingly confronted with aggression in the performance of their work. Hard to understand!
This inspired us to dedicate a project to rescue workers, which we call “Blue Light”. A tribute to those who are always there for us.
Initially, we pitched our idea at both the fire- and ambulance station. We got green light instead of blue. And it turned out that the most of them were enthusiastic about letting us do their portraits. Our goal was to show the pride for their profession. The easiest way was to bring our mobile studio to the workplace. In this way we didn’t disturb them to much, and we could feel the energy at the station.

We want to continue the project in future with other groups of rescue workers. They deserve the spotlight, because they are indispensable in our society. And we love making beautiful portraits.
To be continued!
